I’m Stephen Mensah, a software engineer and Computer Science student at Ashesi University in Ghana.
I build AI-powered applications and backend services. I’m interested in the details that make a feature useful: the context it receives, the records it changes, and what happens when something fails.
I’m early in this, and I’d rather show the work than describe it. Each project says what’s proven and what isn’t.

Every role here was collaborative work with a team, not solo contracting.
01Ashesi Center for EntrepreneurshipSoftware Engineer — Applied Innovation LabJul — Sep 2026Offline-first farm management software for Koranco Farms, built to hold up in low-connectivity field work.
Three modules — attendance, produce and employees — with custom authentication and role-based authorization on FastAPI and PostgreSQL. Jul–Sep 2026 was the lab placement; the Koranco engagement inside it is recorded as six weeks. Also built the farm’s public website, which is described but not linked: its address is not in the supplied record.
02AmaliTechSoftware Engineer InternAug — Sep 2026Backend for a mentor–mentee matching platform, shipped as a working MVP.
FastAPI and Python services with JWT authentication for secure session management, in a cross-functional group of five engineers building a full-stack MVP.
03Ashesi DataCamp DonatesProgram CoordinatorNov 2025 — Nov 2026 · nowLearner access to DataCamp’s AI and data-science platform, through the Donates program.
Coordinated access for students and community learners, and supported 35+ of them through technical upskilling in data science, AI and programming.
04Ashesi UniversityStudent Library AssistantFeb — May 2026Front-line technical help with printing, scanning and database navigation.
Patrons arrived with a printer that would not print or a database nobody had shown them, and left with something that worked. Translating a technical process into plain language is the same job as writing an error message somebody can act on.
Roles, titles and dates follow the supplied résumé, which also records the Koranco engagement: a six-week project inside the Jul–Sep 2026 Innovation Lab role.
